In the Information and the Knowledge Society it is necessary to have a modern, agile, accessible web portal, capable of communicating and of information receiving and especially that facilitates the participation of the citizens.
That's why, we have wanted to modernize and update our Web window so that it knows about what worries and occupies the society, expiring with the requisites and guidelines of accessibility for all. It is already unthinkable at this point of the XXIst century, where every time the electronic administration spreads with more force, having a channel of communication and powerful participation that comes with clearness to the society, without noises nor interferences.
Our first target now is to perfect this window so that it works of agreeable form, which is easy to use, with the information that it is needed at all times, and with rapidity and efficacy in the answers that the society sues us.
We must chase a full alliance with other administrations in the development of a quality politics in the use and extension of the new technologies. It will facilitate the achievement of the administrative steps, the securing and canalization of the pertinent information, the creation of spaces and forums of participation and creation, and the exercise of the rights and duties both of the civil servants and of the citizens.
The County council of Cadiz has been characterized during the latter years by his innovative bet, and for appearing like an instrumental administration to the service of the municipalities of the province, with his singularities and characteristics, but especially with those that are provided with less means, looking for the extension to all the corners of the province of the basic services and of extra cost, chasing the social progress and the development of the knowledge.
The new technologies to the service of the citizens, of the elimination of the technological illiteracy, of the promotion of the equality in the access to the knowledge, the information and the management of the services, and, in short, of the abandonment of the barriers and of the digital divide, are priority targets of our program of government. An important development work has been realized in this sense with the strategic target to have no fissures at the time of gaining access to these services that fortunately facilitate the new technologies and, especially, the Web and his corporate portal (www.dipucadiz.es).
There will be this our technological space in which we could offer services, promote the use of the new hardware in the internal network (intranet) to facilitate the work processes in the best conditions and at the biggest level of productivity and efficacy and to provide the proper personnel of the facility of access to services till now almost unthinkable; and, especially, to reinforce our cooperative work with the network of municipalities of the province of Cadiz.
This is one of our challenges to improve the public services, and it must be one of our fortitude, on having created a dynamic space of management, participation, communication and information inside our strategy of modernizing and of making to advance the administration to turn it into electronic administration in all the ambiences that they benefit and facilitate the civil action.
A living, agile, current, accessible portal, capable of giving answer, is the challenge that will symbolize the good functioning and the incorporation the modern times of the County Council of Cadiz.
